Unlike my friend from Strong&Fit (not fun today), I wasn’t overworked. I got off work 1 hour early but didn’t get the spend that whole hour because I spent 25 minutes figuring out what I should do. I could’ve gone to fitness depot for a half foam roller or the opposite direction for a scale. I didn’t want to do both because traffic jams make me angry and if I did both, I would have been stuck somewhere.
I went for the scale. Turned out the Escali Pico ($27) scale has a maximum capacity of 500 grams. I’d thought it was more. I didn’t buy it and instead, bought this aged balsamic vinegar and Black Cat espresso. Since I was close enough to this smoke shop where I had checked out some pocket scales last week, I headed over.
Slightly under pressure, I made a hasty purchase after I compared two AWS (American Weigh Scale) 1000 X 0.1 gram and one 650 X 0.1 gram scales. Didn’t like the look of the 650 and bought the more expensive 1000 X 0.1 gram scale because of its removable cover that doubles as a tray.
The AWS ($21) is black with a stainless steel platform, backlit screen, tare feature and both grams and ounces amongst a few other measurements. It’s pretty cute and I find the tare feature useful as I need to use the cover/tray to weigh the yarn more accurately. Hopefully, I won’t have to calibrate it for awhile because I don’t have any 200 or 500 gram weights.
Didn’t bother running today and focused on finishing my scarf. Yes, it’s done and soaking in the wool wash.
The scale sounds very fancy. Did they ask how much mary-juana you are going to sell with it?
Yeah right, with me looking so straight lace and everything. Maybe I am an “entrepreneur”. It’s so cute and can fit into my knitting bag.
